The LEGO Art range has come a long way since the first Pixel art pieces were released a few years ago, stopping off via the Great Wave, and the Milky way, and more recently the LOVE Sculpture. Today, in association with the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, the LEGO Group has officially revealed. the latest model in this series: 31215 Van Gogh’s Sunflowers.

One of the biggest challenges facing LEGO Fans who have been collecting for any significant period of time is one of storage and display space. I am excited to see that with the latest LEGO ICONS subtheme, Restaurants of the World, we are getting a detailed facade and streetscape, chock full of neat parts usage, yet limited to a depth of only 8 studs. I can smell the coffee from here.

The 10355 Blacktron Renegade is the latest of the LEGO sets from the 1970s-80s to be revised an updated to suit the contemporary adult builder, longing for a hint of nostalgia. In this review, I will look at the build process and components, how the set stands on its own merits, as well as in comparison to the original 6954 Renegade from 1987. We shall also take a look at the 40650 Blacktron Cruiser from 2023 and see if it can be made to fit with the components of the updated craft. I shall NOT attempt to recreate the box art of the classic set at this time. This set was provided by the LEGO Group for review purposes. All opinions are my own.

After a seemingly endless parade of Spaceships in 2024, throughout City, Technic, Friends, Classic and Dulplo, it seems that ICONs is trying to scrape through before the 2025 Formula One dominance kicks in. And what a way to go, with a reimagining of the 1987 classic, 6954 Blacktron Renegade. The original version cemented Blacktron’s Bad boy image by its blatant disregard for the symmetrical spaceship design that was the norm in LEGO Space to that date. The new one doubles down and embraces the legacy of the first iteration of Blacktron.
The set will be released on January 1 2025, and comes with 3 minifigures, a droid and 1151 pieces. It will be priced at $AUD179.99/USD99.99/€99.99/£89.99

The Modular building release is a key date in the AFOL Focused set release calendar. The 10350 Tudor Corner is the 20th Modular building in the series to be released (not including several other compatible releases in other themes such as Marvel, Ninjago and the Chinese Spring Festival). Due for release on January 1 2025, I was delighted to be sent a copy of the set for review by the LEGO Group. All opinions are my own.
Now, what would you expect to find in a set that represents such a milestone? A nod to the Traditions of the past? Innovations? New parts or recolours? Neat techniques? Storytelling? All of the above? Let’s take a look inside and find out.

This will be a numbers game. How many times will each flower fall apart during construction? How many times do the leaves fall of when putting it in a vase? And how many times do we see the ‘x’ in the instruction manual for the lovely 10342 Pretty Pink Flower Bouquet (AU$99.99/£54.99/US$59.99/€59.99) ? The LEGO Group kindly provided this set for review, but all opinions are our own.
The first flower bouquet release surprised me with how different and fresh it was. Since then four bouquets have been released; Roses, Wildflower, Flower and now Pretty Pink. Incidentally they are all still available for purchase at time of writing (please consider the referral links provided here). One key aspect of these bouquets is that like a regular flower bouquet, they do not come with a vase which means you tend to get more flower for your money than with some of the rounded botanical sets.

The 2025 LEGO ICONS Modular Building: 10350 Tudor Corner has arrived here at Rambling Brick HQ, and we have put the build together. BUT It’s one of the most detailed Modular buildings to date, and I want to do the review justice. So today, I’ll present the Gift With Purchase that will be available during the first week or so of January next year: 40757 Corner Kiosk.
The Corner Kiosk evokes the ubiquitous street vendor, sheltered in his small kiosk, selling snacks, newspapers and postcards. Like those seen with previous modular, it also evokes the bygone era of the modular series.

It’s that most wonderful time of the year: sure, Christmas is coming, and the advent calendars are opening day by day. But more importantly, the latest LEGO® modular building has finally been revealed.
Modular buildings have a special place in my heart: back when I discovered such as thing as an AFOL, the modular buildings were just taking off. This was a time when the Modular buildings were a cornerstone of the AFOL experience. With only a handful of adult-focused sets being released each year, the modular was the one purchase most people seemed to agree with, whether they were otherwise into cars, trains or Star Wars.
These days, we see sets focused on grown ups being launched every other week. It is almost routine and mundane. But still, the modular always feels special.

After looking at the 10343 Mini Orchid yesterday, Branko takes a look at another of the 2025 Botanical sets: This time its the 10344 Lucky Bamboo
Upon seeing the completed 10344 Lucky Bamboo on my table, the comment “It looks better than bamboo ought to” was uttered. We’re looking at 10344 Lucky Bamboo, the last flower of the four noble ones to come out in LEGO form. Bamboo could potentially be very boring, so let’s see how this translate to LEGO.
