40767 Up-Scaled Space Baby: A good reason to order fresh LEGO?

After weeks of rumor and innuendo, the 40676 Scaled Up Baby Astranaut is going live as a gift with purchase on May 15th, with a purchase threshold of $USD150/€150/Aud 245

Space Babies have been a cause of some excitement over the last couple of years – appearing in 2023’s Series 24 minifigures (blue) and series 26 Minifigures (pink) with responsible adults, and also incorporated in to the 31142 Creator 3in1 Space Roller Coaster. While a white figure has appeared in miniature, it maintains a Classic Smiley face, while the babies have additional cuteness added. Will this cuteness survive the transition to a brick built model approximately 6x the size in most directions?

40761 The Lord of the Rings: Sméagol and Déagol. [Hands On review]

As much as I like the Bag End build incorporated in 10354 The Shire (I keep wanting to call it ‘Bag End and a Long Awaited Party’), many people might want some kind of sweetener to go ahead and pick it up on opening week. I understand this. At $AUD399.99, it is an expensive set. So, will the LEGO Store Exclusive 40761 Sméagol and Déagol be enough to make you pull the trigger? The LEGO Group were kind enough to send a copy of the set over to look at, but it has probably been available for a few hours before we are able to publish our reviews.

40756 Lucky Knots [review]

This set has been revealed as a gift with purchase throughout January 2025, in conjunction with Spring Festival celebrations later in the month. The threshold for this set has not been revealed at the time of writing, but has been reported as being a relatively high £135. That said, there are lots of new sets about to be released, including the 10355 Blacktron Renegade and the 10350 Tudor Corner Modular Building, along with the international release of the Chinese New Year sets, new sets from City, Creator 3in1, Friends and more, so reaching that threshold should not be too hard.

40757 Corner Kiosk- Review.

The 2025 LEGO ICONS Modular Building: 10350 Tudor Corner has arrived here at Rambling Brick HQ, and we have put the build together. BUT It’s one of the most detailed Modular buildings to date, and I want to do the review justice. So today, I’ll present the Gift With Purchase that will be available during the first week or so of January next year: 40757 Corner Kiosk.

The Corner Kiosk evokes the ubiquitous street vendor, sheltered in his small kiosk, selling snacks, newspapers and postcards. Like those seen with previous modular, it also evokes the bygone era of the modular series.

LEGO® IDEAS 21353 Botanical Garden Revealed

Plants are blooming for LEGO® Enthusiasts: since the introduction of the Botanical Range back in 2020, we have seen the arrival of 14 ICONs botanicals sets, 6 creator sets and two gifts with purchase. We have seen the 1000 piece LEGO Friends Botanical Garden, a set that was for many adults, their first Friends set.

Today, the LEGO Group unveiled 21353 – The LEGO Ideas Botanical Gardens. With 3792 pieces, this set has 12 unique minifigures. It has four birds, a dog, a frog, a bunny and a squirrel. It is two baseplates wide, 64 bricks wide, and it contains over 35 brick built species of plants. It will go on sale on November 4th (November 1 for LEGO Insiders), at LEGO Branded retail outlets, priced at $AUD499.99/ €329.99 / £289.99 / $USD329.99 / 429.99 CAD

Here’s your first look at the 40683 Flower Trellis Display: GWP Coming in April 2024.

There are plenty of LEGO® sets that have been released over the past couple of years that have given builders the chance to put together some brick built flowers, but otherwise not formally labelled as being part of the Botanical Series.

The 40863 Flower Trellis Display is a novel set, bringing us some colourful flowers growing on a vertical trellis. It is a substantial build that brings a pleasing , unique floral model, arriving just in time for Mothers’ Day in May ( in Australia at least – other geographies might vary.) It is scheduled to be available April 1 – 16, with a purchase threshold from LEGO.com of: 150 EUR/ 150 USD/ 135 GBP/ 240 AUD.
