It was one of those happy accidents, while I was opening an order from LEGO.com. I recently redeemed some VIP points for the spinning 1950 logo keyring. I was surprised when I opened the parcel and found a hitherto unannounced 1964 LOGO keyring enclosed. Compared with the round 1950 logo keyring, this is square, golden in colour, and features the logo from the mid-1960s: a bright red field, with an early version of the LEGO logotype, and the handwritten ‘System’ underneath.
