Normally a picture release of a large grey spaceship heralds the arrival of something from the LEGO Star Wars team. But this is much more exciting. After moving around a series of alternative toy brick companies over the years, the Star Trek License has finally come to rest with the LEGO Group, and I have to admit I am just a little bit excited.

The 10356 USS Enterprise NCC-1701 D has 3600 pieces and will be released in time for Black Friday, on 28th November 2025 at LEGO.com/Star-Trek and LEGO Stores priced at $AUD599.99 /€379.99 / £349.99 / $USD399.99. The set comes with nine mini figures, and the line up is just about perfect.
The included figures (and their associated accessories) are Captain Jean-Luc Picard ( with a cup of Tea, Earl Grey, Hot) , Commander William Riker (Trombone for letting off steam/playing some cool jazz), Lieutenant Worf (with phaser), Lieutenant Commander Data (and his cat, Spot), Dr. Beverly Crusher with a medical tricorder) , Lieutenant Commander Geordi La Forge ( engineering case), Counsellor Deanna Troi (and Padd), Bartender Guinan (with a portable tractor beam), and Wesley Crusher(wielding a portable tractor beam)

Of interest, the figures have no pips designating rank on their collars. The lineup represents the key bridge crew, and ancillary staff in season three, and I was hardpressed to think of any other characters worthy of a berth in this set.
The only recurring characters who may have additionally warranted a mention include Myles O’Brien and Reginald Barclay – although they both had more significant roles in other trek franchises, after Next Generation. Q might also be appropriate, but I applaud the decision to include Ensign Ro Laren with the Gift with purchase – recognising her contribution to the series in later seasons of the Next Generation, as well as her reappearance in season three of Picard.

The new model demonstrates the Enterpirse’s ability to detach the saucer section (taking the majority of the civilian crew to safety, while the secondary hull containing the battle bridge can stay and fight.

Designed as a captivating sci-fi decor piece, the set comes with an angled display stand featuring an information plaque for the U.S.S. Enterprise model, plus a minifigure display tile with Star Trek: The Next Generation branding.

The U.S.S. Enterprise starship model, including its display stand, measures over 10.5 in. (27 cm) high, 23.5 in. (60 cm) long and 18.5 in. (48 cm) wide

Speaking about the reveal of the LEGO Star Trek U.S.S. Enterprise set and the upcoming livestream, actor Jonathan Frakes said, “As Commander Riker, I spent a lot of time on the bridge of the Enterprise, and now fans can take the helm themselves… in LEGO brick form! This set is a fantastic way to relive the adventures of the crew, piece by piece. I can’t wait to make a cameo in the livestream, and offer up a signed set for fans – it’s such a fun way to celebrate this incredible build.”

Now that we have the full range of publicity images, as well as the box art, available the final model looks quite exciting. While there are a number of stickers included, the Ships registry number, as well as the windows around the equator of the circle centre, appear to be printed.

It’s no mean feat to turn predominantly triangle shaped plates into the elliptical shape of the saucer section. On first impressions, this looks like an impressive display piece. There is no doubt that it is a large model: 60 cm long x 48 cm wide, and I suspect this will ultimately be a turn off to some fans. I sincerely hope that there might be more ships to see in this subtheme, ideally at a scale that will fit on my available storage. 😉
The GWP is a terrific design, and when combined with the main set, I find myself impatiently waiting until the 28th of November, ready to pick it up. This is an impressive looking model, and given the role that Star trek has had on our family (almost as much as the small plastic brick), will be an easy purchase, while we consider where we might choose to display it.
I’m excited to finally see the model, and I hope there may be scope for a larger range of ships from the franchise to be released. Ideally at a similar size to some of the recent Star Wars mini scale space ships. However, no manufacturer has ever attempted a model of such a scale before. Hopefully we will see some smaller ones with time.

This is a set I never thought I would see, but I’m incredibly happy to see it. Our family are all lifelong Star Trek fans and I own many alternative brand brick models of Star Trek ships, but it is a pleasant surprise to finally see something from LEGO. I know the price tag is very high, especially compared to the alternative brick brands, and I understand that will turn a lot of people off, but I have a blind spot where Star Trek is concerned and I will order this on day 1.
