After the release of the LEGO Ideas Red Dragon’s Tale earlier in their year, the LEGO Group are continuing to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the iconic role playing game Dungeons and Dragons with a collectible minifigure series, set to be released in September (Most of the World) and October (Australia). Figures are now available for re-order from LEGO.com (maximum of 12 per customer)

Let’s take a closer look.

While some of these characters are relatively generic, others come directly from the worlds of Forgotten Realms campaigns and stories. Let’s take a Quick Look at the upcoming range:

At this stage, we know there are 12 figures to collect, but just how many will be in a box is to be determined. With the last series of figures (Space) There were boxes of 36 in some countries, while others had boxes of 12, containing the entire series of figures. I anticipate that the cardboard boxes these figures come in will continue the trend of QR Codes allowing you to scan the box without damage to determine the contents.

I love the look of these figures, and I hope perhaps that we will see a rush on people creating their own fantastical figures with existing parts in combination with some of the new elements presented.
