News from the LEGO Ambassadors Network

Another day where Too Many Things arrive in the inbox in Rapid Succession. These include a Star Wars Fan Event at the LEGO House, a Survey about LEGO stores and two new Ideas Contests (replacing what was once known as Rebrick). These have all arrived via the Ambassadors Network, an online community where recognised Fan Media, and Recognised LEGO User Groups Gather… read on for further details.

LEGO House- Star Wars Fan Event: March 29th 2019

The LEGO House in Billund is hosting a Star Wars Fan Event on March 29th, 2019.This is your unique opportunity to meet Star Wars Designers and other hard core Star Wars Fans face to face and hear about cool things from the past 20 years. We will also do a building activity as well as having a nice dinner together. Of course you can also win something Star Wars themed.

In the meantime, there will be a Star Wars Memory Lane Exhibit running at the LEGO House from the 8the through to the 29th of March: As well as showcasing the 25th Anniversary Sets, 10 LEGO designers were invited to list their three favourite models form this period of time. You can see their selections as part of this exhibit, as well as a display of over 1100 LEGO Star Wars Minifigures.

LEGO Brand Retail Survey: Adult Shopper Survey

As LEGO Brand Retails Stores and LEGO Certified Stores open up in new markets, the chances are that adults might be encountering LEGO for the first time – particularly where LEGO had not been ‘The toy I played with when I was a kid’. The LEGO Retail Design Team have reached out and are asking for Adults (whether they have access to a local store of not) offer some opinions on what you look for visiting a LEGO store… the survey should only take about five minutes to complete and you can find it here….

LEGO Ideas: not one but TWO awesome contests

It’s a total Mustang takeover! The LEGO Ideas Contests platform (formerly LEGO Rebrick) has two contests celebrating the release of the new Creator Expert Ford Mustang…

Contest #1: Go Retro and design your own 1967 Ford Mustang Vintage Poster!

The 1967 Ford Mustang – an American legend and a true classic! To honor this beautiful classic, we’re looking to see your original take on a vintage poster featuring a 1967 Ford Mustang. So, show us your very own design and be sure to incorporate that vintage, retro look and feel to your poster – oh and of course it should be built in LEGO bricks.

Submissions are open from today until the 3rd of April, 2019 at 6:00 a.m. EST. Our judges consisting of members of the LEGO Creator team as well as Ford team, will then review all the entries in accordance to the judging criteria.

Contest #2: Celebrate your favorite Ford Mustang in beautiful scenery!

From the classic muscle cars to the high-performance sport vehicles of today, the legendary Ford Mustang has been seen in many different memorable styles over the years. Which model has been your favorite so far? We challenge you to build your favorite Ford Mustang in a scenery where you would take it. So, get ready to head out on a brick-built road trip down memory lane!

Build a Mustang…photograph it with some scenery: either brick built, or in the real world.
