It is plane to see that not all models relate directly to Christmas.

However, people fly to catch up with friends and family or indeed, model planes may be given as presents, so I reckon there are plenty of connections to be made here.

The plane evokes feelings of a bygone era, being a biplane, with skis or pontoons for landing on snow or water.
