In just under 2 weeks, the Melbourne Brickshow returns to the Coburg Town Hall. Held on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September 2026, the family-friendly event will bring together talented builders from across Melbourne and beyond, showcasing everything from sprawling cityscapes and spacecraft to castles, intricate models and working contraptions.

Hosted by MUGS, the Melbourne LEGO User Group, the volunteer-run exhibition celebrates the creativity, skill and imagination of the local building community.

Every creation on display has been designed and built by fans, with some involving tens of thousands of individual bricks and hundreds of hours of work.

Following a hugely popular debut, the 2026 Melbourne Brick Show will be bigger, with more builders, more displays and more opportunities for visitors of all ages to get involved through interactive activities and dedicated play zones.

“There’s a real magic when a kid(aged 4-99) realises that these world-class builds came from someone’s garage just down the road from them!” said Dylan Mercer of MUGS.

“That is what this show is about. It is about creativity you can see up close, people sharing what they love and visitors walking away inspired by what is possible when imagination meets thousands of tiny bricks.”

For the builders themselves, the creations can represent months, and sometimes years, of planning, problem-solving and painstaking work.

“I spent more than 400 hours over the course of an entire year, and used 80,000 bricks, bringing this build to life. I started with choosing my colour palette – focussing on neutral colours for the landscape, contrasting with vibrant pink and green for the architecture. Brick by brick, it becomes something far bigger and more elaborate than you first imagined. The best part is seeing people stop, look closer and discover all the tiny details. To final see it on display in front of thousands of people is an incredible feeling,” said Eve Sellars, creator of Steampink.

With tickets starting from just $5 and a family pass priced at $25, the Melbourne Brick Show offers an affordable weekend experience for families, passionate builders and anyone fascinated by creativity, design and the extraordinary things that can be built one brick at a time.
