Melbourne LEGO® Lovers, rejoice. MUGs, the Melbourne LEGO Users Group have their inaugural Melbourne Brick Show coming up this weekend. at the Coburg Town Hall. The show will be open from 9am -4pm Saturday; 9am-3pm Sunday. Tickets are available online here

MUGs celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, and while the club was responsible for initiating Brickvention back in 2006, that event has taken on a life of its own. It will be exciting to explore a new venue and to show off our creations a little more locally! The Melbourne L-Gauge Train Club will have a presence, with their giant city and railway layout. The show will also feature a great ball contraption (GBD) -a fan favorite at Brickvention, where a collection of community-sourced modules use progressively outrageous mechanisms to propel a collection of balls around a circuit.

There will even be vendors on site with new and old sets, bricks and more.

Be sure to bring your LEGO Passports, as there will be stamps, not just from the event but some exhibitors as well.

I’ll be there this weekend with my adventurers layout, which has had some little changes made since it was showed off at Brickvention this year. Drop by and say ‘Hi!’ I have a passport stamp, and the family have helped put together a zine, based on my MOC.
