We knew it was coming soon. We just weren’t sure when. Australia’s newest LEGO® Certified Store, located at Highpoint Shopping Centre in the North Western suburbs of Melbourne, had a very quiet, COVIDSafe™ opening today.
We knew it was coming soon. We just weren’t sure when. Australia’s newest LEGO® Certified Store, located at Highpoint Shopping Centre in the North Western suburbs of Melbourne, had a very quiet, COVIDSafe™ opening today.

The shop has the requisite Pick a Brick Wall, as well as the LEGO Branded Store exclusive sets, including many which are currently out of stock on the LEGO® online store [Immediately post the Black Friday/Cyber Monday ‘sales’ event.

The store has the Requisite minifigure statue: this time, it is a female cricketer named Kirstine. The local Essendon Maribynong Park Women’s Cricket Club is the oldest women’s cricket team in the world, founded in 1905. Kirstine is named after the wife of Ole Kirk Christiansen, founder of the LEGO Company.
There is also a large mosaic, depicting the view over the Yarra River, showing Princes Bridge, Federation Square and the eastern skyline of Melbourne.
There was a good range of stock on the shelves this morning, including some of those hard to get sets: the Techninic Lamborghini Sian, Ecto 1, Sesame Street and more.
The store is located at Highpoint Shopping Centre, Level 3; Shop 3514, at 200 Rosamond Rd, Maribynong.
I’m glad that Alceon’s been able to return to rolling out their LCS’s around the country. Their first store in South Australia is due to open before Christmas. Hopefully they will get stores opened in Western Australia and Tasmania in the new year.
