Celebrate 20 Years of LEGO® Star Wars™ With The World’s Largest LEGO Star Wars Unboxing!

Fans are invited to kick-off celebrations for May the 4th Be With You Day 2019 at Westfield Chatswood

If you are in Sydney this year, you have the chance to be involved in a very special event over Star Wars Weekend: May 4th-5th. LEGO Star Wars Creative Director Jens Kronvold Frederikson, and Australia’s LEGO Certified Professional Ryan McNaught will be at Westfield Chatwood to run a massive LEGO Star Wars Unboxing and Build!

Yoda at Westfield Doncaster in 2013

There have been a number of previous events for May 4th at various Westfield shopping centres – every second year since at least 2013 – constructions include a massive Death Star (Westfield Warringah 2017); Millennium Falcon (Southland, 2015) and Yoda (Doncaster, 2013).

At this stage, the nature of the model is a closely guarded secret, but it must be pretty special for Mr Frederikson to be coming out: this is his first trip to Australia since LEGO Star Wars first appeared 20 years ago.

What could it be? Worlds Biggest Snow Speeder? Tantive IV? TIE Fighter ?Bust of Admiral Ackbar?

But that’s not all!

There will be historical sets to view, as well as an opportunity to build a mini model to take home. Members of the 501st Legion will be in attendance to help maintain order. Come dressed as your favourite Star Wars Characters for a chance to win ‘Best Dressed.’ And there may well be other prizes available over the weekend.
