What’s Next for LEGO Super Mario: The Results

When I asked the question ‘What’s next for LEGO Super Mario?’ last month, I had no idea what sort of response we would have. The sets had just hit the market, and people were still exploring what the system is capable of. However, that didn’t stop people from submitting over 20 entries. some were created digitally, some were created with Super Mario elements that they already had, and some were put together using their own bricks!

Expanding LEGO Super Mario: 71368 Toad’s Treasure Hunt

Today, I want to take a look at one of my favourite Expansion packs. With 464 elements, this set has a number of elements that makes this a great set to display ( at least, as far as LEGO Super Mario is concerned), has a number of great play features, a range of enemies, and even some friends for Mario to engage with.

Compared with the other expansions we have looked at so far, this one is a relatively large box. I’ll follow the same general format for this expansion as I have for the others I have looked at: The elements, and Build, the features of the landscape, Power up/scoring opportunities, Other Characters and action bricks.

Full Range of LEGO Super Mario Sets Revealed

Today, the LEGO Group and Nintendo have finally revealed the full product range for LEGO Super Mario. With Game Play based around a real world brick built world, along with familiar friends, enemies, power ups and hazards, LEGO Super Mario is set to change the way players interact with Mario, based on the interactive Mario Brick.

I have had the opportunity to try out some of the new range, as well as take part in a Q&A with Jonathan Bennink – the Digital Design Lead.
