LEGO® Super Mario Halloween Haunting

October 17, 2020October 17, 2020 ramblingbrick Lego Boo, ghosts, haunting, King Boo, LEGO Super Mario, Peepa

There has been a new extra spooky, haunted game variation added to LEGO Super Mario, just in time for Halloween. I was prompted to give it a go after seeing these pictures on the LEGO® Twitter Account.

Here’s a look at the new LEGO CITY Space travellers. We have the gold commander, orange miners, black and azure pilots and green mission specialists. I can’t wait to see them up close. There are definite Galaxy squad and classic space vibes here. Some work love them, others less so. Preparing for some 2024 reviews, so I'm updating some of my backdrops…
The book “LEGO Space 1978-1992” was recently released. Written by @newelementary editor in chief Tim Johnson, it contains 200 pages of stories and archival images of unprecedented quality- especially if you have been seeking guidance from box photos and Lo res-scans of instruction sheets. We get insight into the design process with interviews from designers who were at work during that golden era, as well as insights into how those marketing images we pored over were realised. I heartily recommend it. Throw in ephemera from across the years and an element by element blow of what defined the look of these sets, this book brings in everything you could ask for in a coffee table book about LEGO Space
I felt the Minifigures in the Nostalgic Gift with purchase 60401 Majisto’s Magical Workshop were a little lacklustre, compared to the details included in 6048. This is mostly due to retired moulds, although perhaps majisto could have been printed.
I had the chance to look at the 40601 Majisto's Workshop ahead of its release. I did my best to use the set to reconstruct the back of the box builds seen with the original version from 1993. This is how they turned out. You can read my full review on the blog at at https://ramblingbrick.com/2023/11/17/40601-majistos-workshop-review/
