After a few weeks of leaks and speculation, the LEGO Group have revealed to next Disney Collectable minifigure range 71038 . They go on sale on April 1st 2023. The set will still have bags, making feeling for contents possible, but I won’t think we should take that for granted going forward, with boxes scheduled to appear for CMF later in the year.
There are 18 to collect, due for a May 1 release at a RRP of in May 2023 priced at €3.99 /USD $4.99/5.99 CAD/3.49 GBP/AUD5.99.
We have some figures that previously have only existed as minidolls, some who are brand new, and a couple where you can only wonder why they took so long!
Let’s take a look at them after the break:
Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey
First Appearing in Fantasia in 1940, the Sorceror’s Apprentice was always one of my favourite forms of Mickey Mouse!

Pinocchio
Another from 1940, Pinocchio comes with his goldfish, as well as his distinctive hat. And is that a moulded nose?

Jiminy Cricket
Serving as Pinocchio’s conscience, Jiminy Cricket also serves as a subtle expletive

The Queen
Appearing in 1939 in Snow White, she was one of the original Disney Villains. I love the magic mirror included with this figure. Does the fact that she appears here, but no sign yet of Snow White imply that she might be appearing in another set later this year?

Stitch 626
A far more recent creation, Lilo and Stitch made their first appearance back in 2002. What is he doing with that extra set of arms?

Pocahontas
From 1995,Pocahontas is one of the few Disney Princess characters who has never appeared as a minidoll,

Cruella de Vil & Dalmatian puppy
With her crazy two tone hair and penchant for fur, Cruella De Ville first appeared in 1961’s 101 Dalmations.

Miquel & Dante
From 2017’s Coco, Miquel and Dante are some of the more recent additions to the Disney-Pixar stable.

Ernesto De La Cruz
Another from 2017’s Coco, Ernesto is Miguels idol, and long dead musician.

Oswald the Lucky Rabbit
Oswald was created by Walt Disney in 1927 for Universal Pictures. He appeared in a number of shorts over the next decade or so. Disney acquired the rights to the character in 2003

Robin Hood
From the Self Titled 1973 anthropomorphic animated feature, this foxy Robin Hood a welcome addition to any Forestmen layout!

Prince John
This mane-less lion served as Robin Hood’s foil in 1973.

Tiana
From 2009’s The Princess and the Frog, Tiana has made the transition from Minidoll to Minifigure.

Dr. Facilier
The primary antagonist of The Princess and the Frog, Dr Facilier is a voodoo Witch Doctor who had somehow evaded my attention all these years.

Queen of Hearts
A follow-up to Alice from the previous Disney CMF’s, the Queen of Hearts made her Disney Debut in 1951’s Alice in Wonderland. “Off with their heads!”

Aurora
From 1959’s Sleeping Beauty, Aurora is one of the original Disney Princesses. But is she just a foil for Maleficent who made her first minfigure appearance years ago?

Baymax
From 2014’s Big Hero Six, Baymax is here to help.

Mulan
From 1998’s Mulan, here’s a character who only recently made their first appearance as a minidoll.

And there we have them.
The Disney100 Collectable minfigures are due to make their appearance in May 2023 priced at €3.99 /USD $4.99/5.99 CAD/3.49 GBP/AUD5.99.
