A Brief, Self-indulgent, Sentimental Moment.

Just a quick note to acknowledge that 6 years, 857 blog posts, 1242 Instagram posts, 15 podcast episodes, four convention presentations, and a disturbing number of spelling mistakes ago, the Rambling Brick was born. That first post has not aged well. The second, however, rings just as true today.

Thanks to everyone who takes time out of their day to read what I have to say. I hope some of what I write is of interest, thought-provoking or, at least, vaguely entertaining. Sometimes my attention drifts. It often drifts back. But not always in a timely fashion.

I would like to thank my family for their support, particularly Ann, who knolls out elements for the reviews, and wishes me well, when I head off towards conventions, wherever they might be this time.

To my friends in the local, and not so local LEGO communities: thanks for your support, encouragement, comments, and proofreading. You may never know just how much I value your support.

So, thank you. Normal service shall resume shortly. And keep an eye out shortly for a new habitat competition. It shan’t be long now.

I’ll just cut myself a piece of cake, first.

Until next time,

Play Well!

When I was One,
I had just begun.
When I was Two,
I was nearly new.
When I was Three
I was hardly me.
When I was Four,
I was not much more.
When I was Five,
I was just alive.
But now I am Six,
I’m as clever as clever,
So I think I’ll be six now for ever and ever.

  1. As I said when I had the pleasure of meeting you at Brickvention this year, thank you so much for your commitment and contribution to our very special community. It is very much appreciated. Cheers.

  2. Legend, always a pleasure to read a well balanced, thoughtful appraisal of LEGO products from someone who obviously enjoys his work. Looking forward to many more years of unbiased, accurate reviews.
