The Brick Train Awards are on again in 2021 – and opening for entries throughout February.
The Brick Train Awards are a collaboration between LNUR (LEGO Northern UK Railway), a LEGO train club in the UK, and Brick Model Railroader in the USA.
The Brick Train Awards are the first virtual, global awards for the LEGO® train fan community.
The awards are free to enter for all, including our TFOL (Teenage Fan of LEGO) awards, aimed to encourage and support teenage LEGO fans who are not usually recognised by some traditional LEGO User Groups and LEGO train clubs.
You can find out more about the awards and how to enter at bricktrainawards.com.
You can enter up to 3 models per category; this time, models must have been completed in the last 24 months (2 years). Digital models can be submitted in the first 11 categories below:
- Best LEGO® Steam Locomotive
- Best LEGO® diesel locomotive
- Best LEGO® electric locomotive
- Best Other LEGO® locomotive
- Best LEGO® passenger wagon
- Best LEGO® freight wagon
- Best LEGO® other wagon
- Best LEGO® stucture
- Best TFOL LEGO® locomotive
- Best TFOL LEGO® wagon
- Best TFOL LEGO® display
The above awards are drawn at a regional level (best models in Asia, Americas, Europe and Australasia) before a global winner is picked from those. The two categories below are judged at a global level only (as there are relatively fewer entries for these):
Enter your models for free from 1st – 28th February 2021; see details at bricktrainawards.com/enter.
The LEGO train community remains enthusiastic and commited as ever, and if the quality of last year’s entries is anything to go by, then we can expect to see some high quality entries later in the year, when the awards are presented.
Until Next Time
