So the run up to Christmas is really busy. Really, really busy. Sometimes real life gets in the way of blogging. So, I hope somewhere in the world it is still the 2nd of January December!

Today’s build is undoubtably a bird of some kind. With a festive flavour.

I won’t attempt to guess the breed, but the use of the leaf elements for the tail, with white and red baubles certainly gives this otherwise brightly coloured bird a festive feel.

There is a simplicity here I appreciate, including the exposed studs, and the use of seemingly random colours for the bird’s body.

There are some useful elements here, and I have no need to set this up as a permanent display piece. This is a refreshing aspect to this set: build it… pull it apart… build it etc….
