Welcome to part three in our series examining the evolution of LEGO® Dragons. In Part One, we looked at the development of the classic LEGO Dragon from 1992. In Part Two we followed the evolution of premoulded dragons, and examined the Legacy of Galidor in LEGO Creature design. Today, we are taking a look at the development of brick-built dragons, and the years where LEGO Bricks began to extend beyond the standard rectangular brick.

LEGO x NIKE: With a new multi-year collaboration announced, swooshing your LEGO is about to take on a whole new meaning.

Today, the LEGO Group and Nike, Inc. announced a new multiyear partnership aiming to elevate the power of creative play and sport. Kicking off next year, we can probably to see a series of co-branded products combining the imaginative power of LEGO and the ‘Just Do It’ Spirit of the Nike brand

At this point, the exact results of the collaboration remain to be seen: Will we see some new LEGO shoes now that the Adidas partnership has kicked in? Will there be Nike sports-branded sets reminiscent of those from the early 00s? Will it be LEGO co-branded clothing with a LEGO GOAT on the front? (Greatest Of All Time)? Or will it be more like the last time NIKE collaborated with the LEGO Group back in 2002-2003? More on that later…

60421 LEGO® City Robot World: Nostalgic callbacks and more!

The Giant Unicorn Gundam statue outside the Diver City shopping Mall in Tokyo

Robot World is one of the more intriguing sets in the August (USA)/June (rest of the world) LEGO® City range. On the outside, it appears to be a rollercoaster/amusement arcade built around a Gundam-type statue. I might not have thought such a thing to be probable until I recently found a giant Gundam Statue outside a shopping mall in Tokyo. But, in reality, this set calls back to many aspects of LEGO History, hitting the nostalgic cues for people of a certain age. These people are probably younger than me!
