71038: Disney 100 Minifigures Revealed

After a few weeks of leaks and speculation, the LEGO Group have revealed to next Disney Collectable minifigure range 71038 . They go on sale on April 1st 2023. The set will still have bags, making feeling for contents possible, but I won’t think we should take that for granted going forward, with boxes scheduled to appear for CMF later in the year.

There are 18 to collect, due for a May 1 release at a RRP of in May 2023 priced at €3.99 /USD $4.99/5.99 CAD/3.49 GBP/AUD5.99.

We have some figures that previously have only existed as minidolls, some who are brand new, and a couple where you can only wonder why they took so long!

The LEGO Group X Disney 100: New Sets Revealed

This year, the Disney Company celebrate their 100th anniversary and, as part of that celebration, there are a few LEGO Sets to go with it…. Today, offical images are reveals of some (others have already arrived on the shelves.

Today, the LEGO Group is kicking off its celebration of Disney’s 100 anniversary by recreating some of the most beloved Disney movie moments in iconic LEGO® brick form as part of its new #SharetheWonder video series.

The three-part series will feature scenes from timeless Disney and Pixar movies, and will encourage fans to share their own favorite LEGO built Disney moments on social media using #SharetheWonder. Watch the teaser here. The #SharetheWonder series will debut throughout the next month on LEGO.com, LEGO social channels and Disney’s YouTube.

A Whole New World [41161 Aladdin and Jasmine’s Palace Adventures]

I’ve been a bit distracted, by other things in life, over the last week or two, but I’m starting to get back on track.

If you are the parent of small children, there is a better than even money chance that you have been exposed to one of the Disney adaptations of a Classic Fairy story at some point or another – either animated, or reimagined in real life. Or even, considering the recent Lion King CGI release, Real Life™

Sets related to the Disney Princess branding have been a staple of licensed minidoll sets for several years now, but I have not spent much time with them. Today I have taken a look at one of this year’s sets based on Aladdin: 41161 Aladdin and Jasmine’s Palace Adventures. Is it based on the 1992 Disney Animated film, or the 2019 Live Action remake? This year, we see two of the three sets ever related to this story (ever) released, so I think it is safe to think that perhaps more than a little inspiration was taken from arrival of the new film. Join me as we explore the set, and take a couple of liberties along the way…
