BrisBricks returns to Brisbane’s northside – Tickets now on sale

The team at BrisBricks are busy building towards their first LEGO® Fan Expo for the year on May 25-26. Now in its seventh year and growing, the annual expo BrisBricks organises on Brisbane’s north has moved to a bigger and newer venue at Morayfield Sport & Events Centre.

BrisBricks LEGO Fan Expos have welcomed thousands of patrons over the years to be amazed and excited by the visually stunning exhibits and this year is looking even better. Our energetic team of clever builders and volunteers freely donate their time, displaying their own creations and personal collections that will take children and adults on a magical journey through the ages of LEGO.

Rainbow Bricks Presents NEWCASTLE BRICKFEST 2019, A LEGO Fan Event.

Rainbow Bricks is excited to be returning to Newcastle again on July 13th and 14th, 2019! Located on the New South Wales Central coast, Newcastle is approximately two hours north of Sydney.

The Road to Sydney Brick Show [Disney minifigures preview and tease]

My life has been a little preoccupied with preparing to exhibit at the Sydney Brick Show this weekend. I have been getting ready to post my review of Series 2 of the Disney Minifigures. But here is a sneak peek…

I thought, like other series that it would be a quick snapshot and go. Then I noticed something really interesting, that I had never seen with Collectable Minifigures in the past (Please note: “really interesting to me” may have limited widespread appeal. But it has significant implications going forward). This means I need to have a second look before I publish my findings.

Anyway… Sydney.

After arriving at Sydney Airport, I caught the train to central, and changed for the eastern suburbs line. Bondi Junction was the last stop. It took about 40 minutes from landing at Sydney airport, to get to this stop. After finding the Oxford St exit, it was a short walk (10 minutes) to the Westfield shopping centre, and the Certified LEGO Shop within.

Trade your superhero for a villain or your pirate for a police officer at LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre’s Brickvention booth, whereyou’ll have over 3,000 LEGO® Minifigures to choose from!You might even get lucky and find that one Minifigure you’ve been searching for, such as the rare C-3P0 or the popular Harry Potter!

“Last year we hosted a swap meet with over 1,500 Minifigures – this year we’ve got double the fun making it the World’s BiggestMinifigure Swap. Brickvention 2019: Coming Soon-Win Tickets!

Are you likely to be in Melbourne during the weekend of January 19-20? Why not come along to Brickvention, Australia’s Premier Convention for LEGO® Fans. As well as amazing trains, towns, roller coasters Great Ball Contraptions and other models made by LEGO builders from all over Australia, there will be a huge minifigure swap, in conjunction with the LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre in Melbourne, as well as the build zone to play in.

International visitors this year will include You Tube Fan Favourites, John and Josh Hanlon from Beyond the Brick.

The event will again take place in the beautiful Royal Exhibition Buildings, in Carlton, from 9am-5pm (Saturday) and 9-4 pm (Sunday). If you are planning to attend, you can book timed session tickets now, by following this link.  Tickets start at $9 for children, and $18 for adults.

The Organising committee have given the The Rambling Brick a few passes to give away over the next couple of weeks. There are several ways to win. You can comment below, or on the Rambling Brick Facebook Page – tell me what you are most looking forward to seeing at Brickvention. Facebook not your preferred social media? Community Catchup: Medowie BrickFest

41328251_1064184393759537_7067035623739097088_nIt’s only a week until Medowie Brickfest,  A LEGO® Fan Event! After great support last year, this community event is back, supporting all the Medowie Schools.

Medowie Brickfest is organised by Rainbow Bricks, a Recognised LEGO User Group based in the Newcastle/Hunter Valley/Central Coast area. There are over 30 LEGO Exhibitors with 70 tables of LEGO displays for you to enjoy.
There will also be lots of activities for the kids and young at heart to enjoy, including a LEGO build area, Remote Control Tracker Driving Area and Speed Build Competition.

Enjoy a drink and something to eat while you are with us from the Food and Drink Stalls.

There will be LEGO sets, merchandise and parts for sale.

DATE: Saturday 15th September
TIME: 10am – 4pm
VENUE: Medowie Christian School
COST: $5 a person / $15 a family
