This year is the 20th Anniversary of LEGO® Harry Potter, and like the 10th anniversary of Ninjago, there will be a selection of golden minifigures included. these were revealed on the Wizarding World Instagram Page this evening. Golden figures include: Young Harry Potter, Ron and Hermione, as well as Professor Snape, Lord Voldemort and … Professor Quirrel!

It does appear that Professor Quirrel and Voldemort will be seperate figures. I find it interesting that these figures appear to be based on the character’s appearances in the movie of Harry Potter and the Philospher’s stone. and well….

Over the last 3 years we have seen sets based on the first 6 movies – I would anticipate that the mainstream sets are based proimarily on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – parts one and two.

I am curious to see how the movie will be treated during the current production run of LEGO Harry Potter sets, when you consider how few sets were seen when the film was first released.

And will we be seeing ‘Legacy’ sets, as we have with Ninjago? Or will these figures be included in the standard release sets? time will tell, but I expect all should be revealed later in the month, based on the news cycle of the last few years.

I have no idea if this represents all of the figures that we will see. If there is another to be revealed, who would you like to see? Hagrid? McGonagall? Draco?
