Rollout of Further Australian LEGO Certified Stores Confirmed

LEGO Ideas Tree House 21318 Review: A Tale of Castaways

In which we briefly consider the joys of treehouses, and then find ourselves stranded on a desert island, with only the native flora and fauna, and the parts we salvage from our shipwreck to make shelter. Somewhere along the way I review the LEGO Ideas Tree House 21318

Almost a year ago now, we first heard that the Ideas Submission by of a Tree House was approved I started to reflect on why treehouses have such appeal. As a youngster, I always like to keep my feet firmly on the ground. However, as we entered our teenage years, by brother, and a friend of ours took to a large pine tree in my parent’s back yard with a ladder and a couple of beams of wood. After some careful bolting on, additional planks were added, and after a few weeks, they had constructed a platform to escape from the world and hang out, free from the demands of secondary school, even if only for an hour or two.

LEGO Ideas Tree House 21318 Announced

There is something about a tree house that sparks the imagination: a place to take your imagination and go anywhere in the world, doing virtually anything. Today the LEGO Group officially unveil the latest LEGO Ideas set – the Tree House 21318, based on Kevin Feeser’s submission to the Ideas Program. Initially submitted to the Crowdsourcing website in 2017, it took just 4 months to reach 10000 supporters.

Fly Me To The Moon [Review 10266]

Fifty years ago this week, television sets around the planet echoed Neil Armstrong’s now famous words: “That’s one small step for [a] man, one giant leap for mankind.”

Myself? I was slightly less articulate. My best effort to date had been “Goo Goo, Gah. Mumum, Waaaaah” This was, however, age appropriate. Apparently I was in the same room as a television showing the broadcast. At the age of three and three quarter months, however, to say I was watching it would be a stretch of the imagination. By the time Apollo 12 was launched in November 1969, I was up to cruising around some furniture, and I was allegedly distracted from watching a moon landing in the attached photo.

LEGO® Creator Expert Harley Davidson® Fat Boy® [10269 Announcement]

In recent years, we have seen the LEGO Creator Expert line reimagine some classic vehicles, including the Volkswagen Microbus, the Mini Cooper, Astin Martin DB5 (James Bond edition) and the London Bus. Today, we see the announcement of the latest vehicle in this series, the 10269 Harley Davidson Fat Boy.

The set will be available 17th July for VIPs, and 1st August for general availability. US $99.99 – CA $139.99 – DE €89.99 – UK £84.99 – FR €94.99 – DK 799DKK – AUS $159.99 AUD. Available on the 17th of July.
